§ 157.146 MANUFACTURED HOMES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS.
Except as provided in § 157.225 of this chapter, manufactured homes shall be permitted only in manufactured home parks in an approved Residential Manufactured Home Park District. For the purpose of this chapter a manufactured home shall be as defined in this chapter and shall have the same meaning as a mobile home. The city uses the term manufactured home so as to comply with the proper definition of such structures as defined by the Ohio Revised Code. No owner shall be entitled to a zoning permit for a dwelling or a structure that is a manufactured home, mobile home, or house trailer on the basis that the unit becomes a dwelling under the provisions of this chapter because the structure is being attached to a permanent foundation, other structural alterations will be made, or the unit will become subject to real property taxation. Any unit that, upon having a factory or other construction facility, could have been subject to the trailer tax, in the opinion of the Hocking County Auditor, shall be considered as a manufactured home for the purposes of this section and this chapter.
