§ 150.35 REVIEW OF ACQUISITIONS FOR PUBLIC USE.
   The City Administrator shall notify the Heritage and Architecture Commission 90 days prior to the date of submission to the City Council of any proposal to acquire property within the Historic District for public use by the city. The Commission shall review the proposal for consistency with the purposes and spirit of this subchapter and make recommendations to the City Administrator and to the City Council, if, in the opinion of the Commission, the acquisition of the property or the proposed use of the property after acquisition, will be detrimental to the architectural or historic character of the Historic District. The City Council, in making any determination to acquire property within the Historic District, shall take into consideration any recommendations of the Commission.
