(A) Certificate of occupancy permits. All buildings within the Fire District shall be required to have a certificate of occupancy permit in accordance with the following:
(1) A certificate of occupancy permit shall be required for all new and existing buildings of all use groups, excluding detached one- and two-family dwellings.
(2) All buildings/tenant spaces are required to have certificate of occupancy permits issued by the Fire Prevention Bureau to verify that such buildings meet the requirements of this subchapter.
(3) No certificate of occupancy permit shall be issued unless there is conformance with the requirements of this subchapter.
(4) Initial certificate fees shall be paid in accordance with the fee schedules in divisions (A) and (B).
(B) Fee schedule. Certificate of occupancy permit and final inspection fees for buildings, tenant spaces, or other structures, shall be based on the square footage as follows:

(1) Fees shall also be assessed for any additions or renovations to existing buildings or tenant spaces.
(2) Fees shall be figured based on the certificate of occupancy fee schedule.
(3) All fees shall be paid upon a final inspection of the work performed.
(C) Residential building inspections with public areas.
(1) Each entrance to a separate area of the building shall be inspected.
(2) This section covers R1 and R2 occupancies.
(3) Fees will only be assessed for initial certificates of occupancy.

(D) Re-inspection fees. The Fire Code Official shall establish enforcement procedures to implement this code.
(1) The procedure shall include an inspection process that ensures that the code is being followed.
(2) The procedures shall also include fees of not less than $50 for final re-inspections prior to court order to correct ordinance violations.
