Chapter 1 - Scope and Administration
SECTION 101 GENERAL
101.1 Title. Amend as follows. These regulations shall be known as the Building Code of "City of Lockport" hereinafter referred to as "this code".
101.6 Appendices. Amend as follows. The Building Official is authorized to require rehabilitation and retrofit of buildings, structures or individual structural members in accordance with the Appendix B- Supplementary Accessibility Requirements For Existing Buildings and Facilities.
SECTION 103 DEPARTMENT OF
BUILDING SAFETY
103.1 Creation of enforcement agency. Amended as follows: The Building Department is hereby created and the official in charge thereof shall be known as the Building Official.
SECTION 112 BOARD OF APPEALS
112.1 General. Amend as follows: In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Building Official or their designee relative to the application and interpretation of this code, the. International Code Council Board of Appeals shall act as the board of appeals. The Building Official or their designee shall be an ex-officio member of such board, but shall have no vote on any matter before the board. The International Code Council Board of Appeals shall adopt rules of procedure for conducting its business and shall render all decisions and findings in writing to the applicant with a duplicate copy to the Building Official or their designee.
112.3 Qualifications. Delete in its entirety.
