§ 135.24 NUISANCE PROPERTY HELD BY MORTGAGE LENDER OR ACQUIRED THROUGH MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE.
   The obligation to register buildings shall extend to mortgage lenders that have obtained title to unoccupied buildings through a mortgage foreclosure or other legal action.
   (A)   Mortgage lenders, with the exception of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, shall comply with the inspection requirements and post-inspection abatement plan with the building official or his or her designee within 15 days of obtaining possession or obtaining title to same.
   (B)   Mortgage lender in possession or title of the subject property shall be subject to the penalty as prescribed in § 135.99 of this code for failure to comply with inspection and the post-inspection abatement plan.
