(A) The penalty for possession, use, consumption, purchase, transport of cannabis in violation of the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act shall be $100 and shall be payable as a civil law penalty through a ticket process operated by the city.
(B) If the person to whom a ticket is issued fails to pay the monetary penalty by the payment deadline, the city may prosecute the violator in the Circuit Court or through the city's administrative adjudication process and may seek a monetary penalty of up to $750.
