No person, firm, or corporation shall engage in the business of selling, or shall sell, offer for sale, or give away to any person within the city limits any pistol, rifle, shotgun, revolver, bowie knife, dagger, or other weapons of like character, without securing a license to do so. Except as herein otherwise provided, the manner of application, payment, condi-tions, issuance, and duration of the license shall be as prescribed by Chapter 110.
