§ 93.050 BURNING LEAVES, REFUSE, AND GARBAGE.
   (A)   Prohibitions. Subject to division (B):
      (1)   It shall be unlawful to burn any garbage, grass, leaves or other organic refuse outside of any building at any time in the city; and
      (2)   It shall be unlawful to burn papers, excelsior, or other material unless in conformance with applicable E.P.A. rules and regulations.
   (B)   Exception. Controlled bon fires are allowed with a permit from the Environmental Protection Agency of Illinois or if approved by the Lockport Township Fire Protection District, or the burning of logs only in a self-contained device which has a solid bottom which does not touch the ground. The burning of any other material in this container is strictly prohibited.
