§ 93.033 OWNER TO CUT WEEDS; CUTTING OF WEEDS BY CITY.
   (A)   Requirement. Every owner of real estate within this municipality shall cut weeds on his or her property at such times as may be necessary, so that the weeds shall not exceed eight inches in height; if the owner neglects or refuses to cut these weeds, the city may cut the weeds or authorize some person to cut the weeds on behalf of the city.
   (B)   Removal notice. It shall be the duty of the city to serve, or cause to be served, a notice by mail to the last known address, upon the owner or occupant of any premises on which weeds or plants are permitted to grow in violation of the provisions of this section, and to demand the abatement of the nuisance within five days.
   (C)   Abatement of nuisance. If the person so served does not abate the nuisance, [the city shall] keep an account of the expense of the abatement, and such expense shall be charged and paid by such owner or occupant.
