§ 70.35 PARKING ZONES; DEFINITIONS.
   For the purposes of the sections dealing with parking zones, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
   OPERATOR. Every individual who shall operates a vehicle as the owner thereof or as the agent, employee, or permittee of the owner or who is in actual physical control of a vehicle.
   PARK or PARKING. The standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, other than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise or passengers.
   PARKING ZONE. A certain designated and marked-off section of a public street within the marked boundaries adjacent to a parking zone where a single vehicle may be parked and remain for such period of time as it is posted by sign in the vicinity of the zone.
   ROADWAY. The paved area existing on the street right-of-way, exclusive of sidewalks, driveways, or other related uses.
   SIDEWALK. That portion of a public street between the curb lines and the adjacent property lines.
   STREET. The width of the right-of-way or easement, whether public or private, and shall not be considered as the width of pavement or other improvement on the right-of-way.
   VEHICLE. Any device in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be transported upon a highway, except a device which is operated upon rails or tracks.
