§ 30.029 COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Mayor’s compensation. The Mayor elected and qualified to hold office as Mayor as a result of the general consolidated election held in 2025 shall receive as compensation for services as the Mayor the sum of $3,000 per month for a total of $36,000 per annum. Thereafter, the compensation of any subsequent Mayors elected or appointed shall be increased by an amount calculated based on the annual Consumer Price Index realized during the prior term. Additionally, the Mayor shall be entitled to obtain, at the Mayor’s sole expense, health insurance provided to the employees of the city.
   (B)   Compensation of Alderpersons. The Alderpersons elected and qualified to hold office as Alderpersons as a result of the general consolidated election held in 2023 shall receive as compensation for services as an Alderperson the sum of $750 per month for a total of $9,000 per annum. Thereafter, the compensation of any subsequent Alderpersons elected or appointed shall be increased by an amount calculated based on the annual Consumer Price Index realized during the prior term. Additionally, Alderpersons shall be entitled to obtain, at the Alderperson’s sole expense, health insurance provided to the employees of the city.
   (C)   City Clerk. The City Clerk elected and qualified to hold office as City Clerk as a result of the general consolidated election held in 2025 shall receive as compensation for services as the City Clerk the sum of $500 per month for a total of $6,000 per annum. Thereafter, the compensation of any subsequent City Clerks elected or appointed shall be increased by an amount calculated based on the annual Consumer Price Index realized during the prior term. This compensation shall include the City Clerk’s attendance at regular City Council meetings. If the City Clerk attends and acts as Recording Secretary for special meetings and/or workshop meetings, the City Clerk shall receive the sum of $100 per meeting night. Additionally, the City Clerk shall be entitled to obtain, at the City Clerk’s sole expense, health insurance provided to the employees of the city.
