§ 856.26 RECORDS.
   The owner or person in charge of one or more taxicabs or autos-for-hire shall keep a record of all such vehicles, showing the body number, the municipal license number, the state license number and such data as may be necessary to identify the driver of such vehicle or vehicles at any and all times. Such owner or person in charge shall also keep a record of the time of departure from and arrival at his or her garage or the headquarters of such taxicab or auto-for-hire. All taxicab and auto-for-hire drivers shall make records which shall be preserved by the owner or person in charge, showing the time of beginning and the time of ending of each trip, the first and last stop and the amount of fare collected. The records shall be subject to inspection at all times by the Police Department and by the Village Administrator and shall not be destroyed for a period of six months.
