§ 856.22 FARES FOR AUTOS-FOR-HIRE.
   (a)   Fares and charges for the use of an auto-for-hire shall not exceed the following:
      (1)   For a car seating five passengers or less, $4 per hour, irrespective of the number of persons carried; and
      (2)   For a car seating six passengers or more, $5 per hour, irrespective of the number of persons carried.
   (b)   The time for which a charge may be made shall not include the time taken to reach the passenger or, after dismissal, to reach the station of the licensee. No passenger shall be carried for less than a one-half hour charge.
   (c)   No driver or other person in control of a taxicab or auto-for-hire shall make any charge except in accordance with the schedule of rates herein provided.
   (d)   Whenever a new schedule of rates becomes effective or whenever an auto-for-hire or taxicab license is transferred from owner to owner or from vehicle to vehicle, or whenever any of the information on the rate card becomes incorrect, the Village Administrator shall require a new or correct rate card.
   (e)   No person shall alter or tamper with a rate card. Whenever a rate card becomes damaged, soiled or illegible, the owner shall provide and the Administrator shall approve a new card for the vehicle when it is deemed satisfactory by the Administrator.
