In case of the loss of a license tag, the owner may file with the Village Administrator a sworn statement of the facts concerning such loss, and if the Administrator is satisfied that the facts justify the issuance of a replacement tag, he or she shall notify the Village Clerk-Treasurer, who shall thereupon issue a replacement tag. The charge for the first replacement tag for any public vehicle shall be $1 and for each subsequent replacement tag, $2.
