For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
JUNK.
(1) Any worn out, cast off or discarded article or material which is ready for destruction or has been collected or stored for salvage or conversion to some other use.
(2) Any article of material which, unaltered or unchanged, without further reconditioning, can be used for its original purpose as readily as when new, shall not be considered junk.
JUNK DEALER. Every person who buys, exchanges, collects, receives, stores or sells any article hereinabove defined as junk.
JUNK YARD and JUNK SHOP. Any place at which a junk dealer buys, exchanges, collects, receives, stores, accumulates, sells or otherwise handles junk.
RUBBISH. Wire, bottles, crockery, tin, cast ware, wooden ware, hoses, rags, discarded parts and equipment and any waste material, other than garbage in containers or used building materials, including lumber, windows, doors, furnaces and hot water heaters.
