The Mayor may, at his or her discretion, require a bond from the applicant not exceeding $1,000. The applicant shall deposit such bond with the Mayor and such bond shall be conditioned upon the indemnification of any person obtaining a judgment against the licensee because of any damage sustained on account of a violation by the licensee of any applicable law or ordinance or because of any misrepresentation or deception which may have been practiced on such persons by the licensee while carrying on his or her licensed business.
