(a) The Water Department Supervisor/Primary Operator, in addition to the duties of performing normal supervisory functions, instructing employees and assigning work responsibilities, shall also perform daily work duties of the Water Department, as may be required. The supervisory position is a salaried position.
(b) An employee temporarily transferred to another job classification shall receive the higher of his or her own rate or the hourly rate of the classification to which he or she is assigned for that day.
