§ 1064.01 FALSE ALARM DEFINED.
“False alarm” as used in this chapter, includes any alarm or report of an alarm received by the Police or Fire Department of the Village of Lockland that has resulted from either the mechanical malfunction of an alarm system located within the village and/or the negligence of the owner of property within the village and/or his or her agents and/or employees in the setting of the alarm system, including, but not limited to, those which proximately cause the alarm to register and be received by or reported to the Police or Fire Department. Whether or not an alarm or a report of an alarm received by the Village of Lockland Police or Fire Department qualifies as a false alarm is a decision to be made by the Chief of Police or Fire Chief of the Village of Lockland, after proper investigation of the circumstances surrounding said alarm receipt has been completed by said village officer or by personnel assigned to do so and report their recommendation to their respective chief.
