The purpose of this rule is to require the placement of an identifying symbol(s) on structures constructed with truss components in a manner sufficient to warn persons conducting fire control and other emergency operations of the existence of truss-type construction in the structure. This rule shall also cover lightweight/light-frame truss-type construction and bowstring truss construction.
