§ 1480.31 WATER CLOSETS AND BATHROOMS IN ROOMING HOUSES.
   There shall be at least one flush water closet properly connected to a cold water line, one lavatory basin and one bathtub or shower properly connected to both hot and cold water lines with each of the facilities properly connected to an approved water and sewerage system and in good working condition, within every rooming house, for each six persons or fraction thereof, including members of the operator’s family. However, in a rooming house where rooms are let only to males, flush urinals connected to cold water lines and an approved water and sewerage system in good working condition may be substituted for not more than one-half the number of required water closets. A toilet room may be located in a different room from wherein the bathtub or shower facility is located. Such required sanitary facilities shall not be located in a basement or cellar.
