(a) The Council of the village has appointed a Board of Zoning Appeals consisting of five members. The members first appointed shall serve terms of one, two, three, four and five years, respectively. Thereafter, appointments are for five-year terms.
(b) A Chairperson is elected by the members of the Board of Zoning Appeals. Meetings of the Board of Zoning Appeals are held as needed and are held at the call of the Chairperson, or in his or her absence, the Acting Chairperson. All meetings of the Board of Zoning Appeals are open to the public except that the Board may deliberate in executive sessions as part of quasi-judicial hearings in accordance with law. The Board of Zoning Appeals shall keep minutes of its proceedings showing the vote of each member upon each question and shall keep records of all official actions. Records of the Board of Zoning Appeals shall be kept and filed in village administration offices.
