The term of the two members of the Tree Commission appointed by the Mayor shall be for three years, except that the term of two of the members appointed to the first Commission shall be one year and two years respectively. If a vacancy occurs during the term of any member, his or her successor shall be appointed for the unexpired portion of the term. The members from Council and the Mayor shall serve on the Commission during the continuance of their respective elective offices.
