Section 112.53 of the Minnesota Basic Code, pertaining to operation, shall be amended to add as follows:
(F) Upon the closing on a sale of the on and off-sale municipal liquor store owned and operated by the City, the City shall cease the ownership and operation of a municipal liquor store as otherwise authorized by M.S. § 340A.601. Provided, however, that nothing herein shall prevent the City from re-establishing, owning and operating a municipal liquor store in the future.
