§ 52.24 RATES; FEES; COLLECTIONS.
   (A)   Fees and collections. The governing body has the power and authority to fix the rates to be paid by the water consumers for the use of water from the Water Department. All such fees shall be on file for public inspection at the office of the Municipal Clerk. The Municipal Clerk shall bill the consumers and collect all money received by the municipality on the account of the Water Department and shall faithfully account for all revenue collected by him or her.

   (B)   Minimum rates.
      (1)   All water consumers shall be liable for the following rates provided by ordinance unless and until the consumer shall, by written order, direct the Utilities Superintendent to shut off the water at the stop box, in which case he or she shall not be liable thereafter for water rental until the water is turned on again. A charge of $36 shall be assessed the consumer prior to water being turned back on.
      (2)   The following schedule of rates for water service for each consumer computed on a one month basis based on a monthly consumption is hereby established, ordained and approved by the governing body: Minimum per meter, per month: $12 plus $1.15 per 1,000 gallons of usage.
