(A) The Arson Investigator shall have the duties assigned to the office according to the rules and regulations as established by the city.
(B) The Arson Investigator shall be a member of the Fire Department and duties shall be in addition to the normal duties of the firefighter, and there shall be no additional compensation for the duties performed by the Arson Investigator.
(C) The Arson Investigator shall investigate all fires of a suspicious or unknown nature in the city.
(D) The Arson Investigator is classified as a peace officer and as such has all the powers and duties of a peace officer as described in ILCS Ch. 20, Act 2910, § 1.
