§ 34.035 DUTIES; INSPECTION.
   (A)   The Fire Chief shall be the fire inspector of the city.
   (B)   It shall be his or her duty to:
      (1)   See that all premises within the fire limits, particularly in back of business buildings and in basements thereof, are kept free from accumulation of sweepings, paper, barrels, boxes, excelsior, and other combustible material;
      (2)   See that all ordinances regulating the use and storage of inflammable and explosive substances are strictly enforced;
      (3)   Exercise all available means for the prevention and control of fire; and
      (4)   Report in writing the results of his or her fire inspection to the City Council at its regular monthly meeting.
