Every person engaged in any business, occupation, or pursuit, upon which a license fee or tax is required under the provisions of this code or other ordinances of the city, shall register with the Clerk his or her name, residence, occupation or business, and the place where the same is to be carried on, and in the case of a copartnership the name of the persons composing the same shall also be registered.
