No regularly employed personnel of the Police Department of the city shall either directly or indirectly engage in any other business, occupation, or profession, or have any interest therein, while serving in the employ of the city in the Police Department, without written consent of the Police and Fire Commission; nor shall any employee of the Police Department hold any other appointive or elective office in federal, state, county, township, or city positions while so serving in the employ of the City Police Department, without written consent of the Police and Fire Commission.
