7-12-1: RECITALS:
   (A)   Protection of children in the village of Lisle is a priority of the village;
   (B)   Under the Illinois criminal code, 720 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-9.4, it is unlawful for a child sex offender to knowingly be present in any public park building or on real property comprising any public park when persons under the age of eighteen (18) are present, and knowingly loiter or reside within five hundred feet (500') of a playground or loiter five hundred feet (500') from a public park; and
   (C)   The board of trustees has determined that in order to protect children in village parks, it is necessary to designate all park property as off limits to any person who has been convicted of a child sex crime under Illinois law and to place similar restrictions on loitering and residing near park property and residing next to a sex offender's victim.
