149.04   VACATION.
   (a)   A full-time employee of the Village shall be entitled to a leave of absence with pay for vacation purposes as follows:
      (1)   After one year of employment, and before five full years of employment - two weeks vacation per full year worked.
      (2)   After five full years of employment and before ten years of employment - three weeks vacation per full year worked.
      (3)   After ten full years of employment and before twenty full years of employment - four weeks of vacation per full year worked.
      (4)   After twenty full years of employment - five weeks vacation per full year worked.
   (b)   For purposes of this section a full year is completed at the beginning of the anniversary date of full-time employment.
   (c)   A week for vacation purposes shall be five working days.
   (d)   All vacation requests must be submitted in writing to the supervisor of that department no later than March 15 for the year. Any request to change vacation must be submitted ten days in advance on a “first come first serve” basis or upon supervisor approval. Failure to comply with the vacation request procedure will result in loss of pay for the days that were taken.
   (e)   Employees can bank up to a total of 40 days of vacation.
