The Township of Sherman provides fire protection to the city. Sherman Township has the right to use the city fire station building owned by the city. The city shall pay all utilities and insurance on the building. Maintenance expenses shall be shared equally by the city and Sherman Township. Sherman Township agrees to keep the facility as clean as possible and to keep the facility secured when not in use. The city retains the right to use the facility for purposes that do not interfere with the use by Sherman Township. The city does not pay cash payments to Sherman Township for fire protection to the city.
