(A) The Common Council of the City of Linton hereby determines to remove the Municipal Utilities from the jurisdiction of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission pursuant to I.C. 8-1.5-3-9.1.
(B) The Common Council hereby finds that written notice of this meeting has been provided by mail to all ratepayers of the Municipal Utilities and to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in accordance with I.C. 8-1.5-3-9.1.
(C) This section shall be effective 60 days after adoption by the Common Council, provided that a petition is not filed with the Council requesting that the question of removal from Commission jurisdiction be submitted to the registered voters of the city at the next election, all in accordance with I.C. 8-1.5.3-9.1.
