§ 507.03 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning. When not inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural include singular, and words in the singular include the plural.
   CITY. The City of Lino Lakes, County of Anoka, State of Minnesota.
   COLLECTION. The aggregation of mixed municipal solid waste from the place at which it is generated and includes all activities up to the time the waste is delivered to a waste facility.
   COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS. Any premise where an institutional, commercial or industrial enterprise of any kind is carried on, including restaurants, clubs, churches and schools.
   GARBAGE. Animal, vegetable or other putrescible wastes, but excluding sewage or other forms of water-carried wastes.
   HAULER. A collector and transporter of mixed municipal solid waste from any household or commercial establishment.
   MANUFACTURED HOME PARK. Any site, lot, field or tract of land upon which two or more occupied manufactured homes are located either free of charge or for compensation, and includes any building, structure, tent, vehicle or enclosure used or intended for use as part of the equipment of the manufactured home park.
   MIXED MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE. Garbage, refuse and other mixed municipal solid waste residential, commercial, industrial and community activities which is generated and collected in aggregate, but does not include auto hulks, street sweepings, ash, construction debris, mining waste, sludges, tree and agricultural wastes, tires, materials collected, processed and disposed of as separate waste streams.
   MULTIPLE DWELLING. Any building used for residential purposes consisting of three or more residential units with individual kitchen facilities for each.
   RECYCLABLES. Materials which can be separated from the mixed municipal solid waste stream for collection and preparation for reuse in their original form or for other uses in manufacturing processes that do not cause the destruction of the recyclable materials in a manner that precludes further use.
   REFUSE. Nonputrescible mixed municipal solid wastes such as glass, crockery, cans, paper, boxes, rags, but excluding ashes, sand, earth, brick, stone, concrete, trees, tree branches and wood.
   RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE. Garbage, refuse and other solid waste from residential activities which is generated and collected in aggregate, but excluding auto hulks or large auto parts, ash, construction debris, household hazardous waste, tree and agricultural wastes, tires, lead acid batteries, used oil, yard waste and other materials collected, processed and disposed of as separate waste streams.
   TARGETED RECYCLABLES. Specific recyclable materials designated by the city for collection at curbside.
   YARD WASTE. Garden wastes, leaves, lawn cuttings and weeds.
