(1) Final approval. No connection to the municipal sanitary sewer system shall be finally approved until all streets, pavements, curbs and boulevards or other public improvements thereon have been restored to their former condition to the satisfaction of the city engineer.
(2) Damage to gas lines. Whenever any license hereunder or any other person engaged in making a connection to the municipal sanitary sewer system shall damage the coating on any gas mains or gas lines, the damage shall be promptly reported by the person causing the damage to the proper utility company before the gas line or gas main is covered with earth. Failure to make the report shall be considered a violation of this chapter.
