§ 51.08  WATER SERVICE MAINTENANCE.
   (A)   The owner or occupant of the premises served shall maintain the water service against the leakage from, but not including, the curb-stop or shut-off valve on public property to the water meter.
   (B)   The Water Department shall maintain the service from the main to, and including, the curb-stop and curb box on public property.
   (C)   In case a water service is found to be leaking between the curb-stop or shut-off valve on public property and the meter or on the customer’s side of the curb-stop or shut-off valve on unmetered services, the owner or occupant of the premises served may be required on five days’ notice, or in shorter time, if public safety or welfare are affected, to have the service repaired. If the repairs are not made in the time prescribed in the notice, the city may stop the loss of water by discontinuance of service. Service shall be restored in such case only after the repairs have been made and the charges for work done by the city have been assumed by the owner or occupant of the premises served, or his or her authorized agent.
