(A) Municipal general election date. Municipal general elections shall be held annually on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in April.
(B) Uniform filing period.
(1) The uniform filing period opens at 8:00 a.m. on the fifteenth Tuesday prior to the election.
(2) The uniform filing period closes at 5:00 p.m. on the eleventh Tuesday prior to the election.
(C) The City of Linn Creek, Missouri, is authorized to forgo annual elections if the number of candidates who have filed for a particular office is equal to the number of positions in the office to be filled by the election.
