For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BOARD. The Board of Aldermen for the city.
CLERK. City Clerk for Linn Creek, Missouri.
COLLECTOR. City Collector for Linn Creek, Missouri.
JUNK. Includes rags, paper, scrap, metal, old or wrecked motor vehicles, and machinery in scrap or salvage collected for purpose of sale or resale, for the purpose of dismounting or wrecking, or for the purpose of salvaging or parts therefrom.
JUNK DEALER. Any person operating or maintaining a junk yard within the city.
JUNK YARD. Any place of business where junk or salvage is collected and for the purpose of dismounting and wrecking, the purpose of salvaging in part or parts therefrom, or with the purpose of salvaging any part of the same. It shall also include any lot or lots, or parcels thereof, where two or more vehicles which cannot be moved under their own power are gathered for a period longer than 30 days.
