(A) On approval of the application and payment of the license tax provided in this subchapter, the City Clerk shall grant the applicant a license to conduct business in the city for a term to expire with December 31 succeeding the date of such license. A separate license shall be required for each place of business. No proration of the license fee will be allowed.
(B) Applications for renewal of licenses must be filed on or before January 1 of each calendar year.
