(A) Owners residing in the city shall procure a license from the city for all dogs over the age of six months of age. All licenses issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be effective from May 1 to the following April 30. The license fee shall be $4 for each male or female dog.
(B) Any license fee due and unpaid 30 days after it becomes due and payable shall be subject to a penalty of $1.
(C) The fee for a replacement license tag shall be $1.
(D) No license is required for a nonresident to keep a dog within the city for no longer than 30 days.
