There is hereby created the Lingle volunteer fire department (LVFD) of the town of Lingle which shall prevent and extinguish fires, educate the public in all matters pertaining to fires and fire prevention, care for all fire apparatus and other municipal property in its charge, maintain paramedic training currency, provide ambulance services and perform such other duties as may be assigned to it by the town council.
