(A) No business or commercial activity shall be allowed or permitted in any business, building or structure within the city limits that has been remodeled, repaired, renovated or reconstructed at a cost that totals $500, or more, without an inspection and issuance of a certificate of occupancy that shows compliance with the City Building Code. No utilities shall be delivered to the building or structure without a certificate of occupancy being issued that covers that location.
(B) Fee for certificate of occupancy. The fee for issuance of a certificate of occupancy for any business or commercial activity in a building or structure within the city limits that has been remodeled, repaired, renovated or reconstructed as required by division (A) above shall be the sum of $75. That fee shall be paid to the city prior to issuance of the described certificate of occupancy.
