§ 158.02 DEFINITIONS.
For the purpose of this Chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
   FINAL PLAT. A scale drawing based upon completed field measurements showing the location, dimensions, angles, and other features of the lots, streets, parks and walks included in the completed subdivision together with certificates as required by law. The FINAL PLAT is the document which must be recorded in the County office of the Recorder of Deeds.
   OWNER. The term "owner" shall include all persons, trusts, partnerships, corporations or other business entity which either:
   (A)   Were the original and subsequent record title holder of a recorded subdivision; or
   (B)   Were the holder of any beneficial interest in any recorded subdivision, original or subsequent; or
   (C)   Were the subdivider of a recorded subdivision as described in the subdivision definition below or were a successor in interest of the subdivider.
   PLAN COMMISSION. The duly appointed Village Plan Commission whose powers will commence only after the adoption of a master plan for the area incorporated within the Village limits and areas contiguous thereto within a distance of 11/2 miles therefrom.
   PLAT COMMITTEE. The Zoning Enforcement and Plat Committee of the Board of Supervisors of Lake County, Illinois.
   PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS. All construction items required to be installed by the owner of a subdivision as set forth in this Chapter.
   SUBDIVIDER. Any person(s), partnership, or corporation who hereafter desires to subdivide any tract of land which lies within the Village limits (or within 11/2 miles of the boundaries thereof) which is not already a part of a recorded subdivision, or who wishes to further subdivide or reduce in size any lot or block which is in an existing recorded subdivision.
   TENTATIVE PLAT. A scale drawing of the area proposed to be subdivided showing the intent of the subdivider insofar as lot sizes and location and street layout are concerned.
   TOPOGRAPHICAL MAP. A scale drawing showing, by means of contour lines (closed connecting points of the same elevation on the earth's surface), the relief of the area proposed to be subdivided.
   VILLAGE BOARD. The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lindenhurst, Lake County, Illinois.
