The village of Lindenhurst's acceptance of fees as provided herein shall not be deemed an assumption of liability by the village of Lindenhurst. The owner of any building, structure, or land upon which a sign is located, erected, moved, reconstructed, enlarged, expanded, altered, converted, operated, placed, or relocated shall be liable for any damages and injuries that may be caused to persons or property thereby.
