(A) The lakes commission shall be comprised of 9 members who shall be known as commissioners. The commissioners shall be appointed by the village president with the advice and consent of the board of trustees. 1 commissioner shall be appointed chairperson at the time of appointment and his or her designation as chairperson shall expire on April 30 in the year following the year of appointment. If any commissioner for any reason fails to complete his or her term, the village president with the advice and consent of the board of trustees, shall appoint a replacement to fill his or her unexpired term.
(B) At all times there shall be 1 commissioner who shall represent each one of the following lakes: Waterford, Spring Ledge, Potomac and Linden. The chairperson and 4 other commissioners shall represent all lakes within the village. At least 2 of the commissioners representing all lakes shall not live on any lake in the village.
(C) All terms shall be 2 years in duration.
