§ 150.09 BUILDING PERMITS FOR SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE.
Before a building permit application is reviewed by the Village for construction of a single-family residence in a subdivision governed by declarations and covenants, the respective homeowners' association, if any in existence, and/or the respective architectural review committee for any subdivision if any in existence, must approve in writing the building plans and the site plan and, if any are required, the landscape plans. The written approval must clearly identify the plans which are being approved, contain the signature of the approving body and shall be dated. The Village shall have the right to rely upon the approval of the respective approval body as to compliance with the appropriate declarations and covenants. Should a homeowners' association or architectural review committee not approve plans based on an interpretation of this Code, the Village shall have the final say and may issue the permit without approval.
