(A) The economic development commission shall be composed of 7 members who shall be known as commissioners. The commissioners shall be appointed by the village president with the advice and consent of the board of trustees. 1 commissioner shall be named as chairperson and 1 commissioner shall be named as vice chairperson at the time of appointment. The chairperson shall appoint 1 of the commissioners as secretary of the commission. If any commissioner for whatever reason fails to complete his or her term, the village president, with the advice and consent of the board of trustees, shall appoint a replacement to fill his or her unexpired term.
(B) The term of office for all members of the commission shall be for 3 years and said term shall expire on April 30 following their 3 year term.
