(A) It shall be the duty of the health officer to enforce all ordinances containing provisions for the protection of public health; to make inspections of foodstuffs and of the premises used for storing or selling of provisions as may be required by ordinance; and to perform such other duties and functions as may be required by law or ordinance.
(B) The health officer shall enforce all the rules and orders of the board of health; shall make such inspections as may be ordered by the board of health and shall attend the meetings of the board when requested to do so by the presiding officer.
(C) The health officer shall make such reports to the board of trustees as may be required. He also shall recommend rulings, orders or ordinances respecting the public health whenever he is requested to do so, or whenever he deems it advisable or necessary.
