(A) It shall be the duty of the village engineer to attend such regular and special meetings of the board of trustees at which his presence has been requested by the board of trustees.
(B) The engineer shall act as a consultant to the board of trustees on all matters pertaining to public improvements such as sidewalks, street pavement, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, sanitary sewerage, water supply, water treatment and other municipal engineering problems.
(C) The engineer shall make such studies, reports, plans and specifications as he may from time to time be requested to make by the board of trustees.
(D) The engineer shall assist the village attorney and the superintendent of public works through provision of technical advice and services when directed to do so by the board of trustees.
(E) The engineer shall prepare such reports and estimates as may be required in the routine administration of funds derived from the state motor fuel tax law. He shall prepare specific plans and specifications for such specific maintenance and construction projects as may be financed or partially financed by funds so derived.
