Public works is herein designated as the department to oversee the arboricultural activities and responsibilities as follows:
(A) Recommend amendments to the Lindenhurst ordinance, and alterations or revisions to the "Arboricultural Specifications Manual", and alterations or revisions of the urban forestry plan;
(B) Provide policy concerning selection, planting, maintenance and removal of trees, shrubs and other plants within the village;
(C) Annually propose budgetary allocation of funds to support arbor activities and expenditures;
(D) Assist in the establishment of educational and informational programs;
(E) Issuance of permits required by this chapter.
