§ 92.50 PERMIT REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF ALARM SYSTEMS.
   (A)   No person, firm or corporation shall engage in, conduct or carry on the business of altering, replacing, moving, installing or causing to be installed, in or on any building, place or premises, within the Village any device known as a burglar or fire alarm without having first obtained a permit to do so issued by the corporate authorities of the Village.
   (B)   No permit shall be issued except on written application to the Village Clerk and after approval has been obtained from the Chief of Police and Fire Department or other qualified inspector appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Village. No permit shall be issued to any person convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude nor to any firm or corporation if any partner, officer or employee has been so convicted.
   (C)   Burglar and fire alarm systems shall be installed only by a bonded technician and all materials used in the installation shall be Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., approved.
   (D)   No permit shall be issued until the applicant pays a permit fee in the amount set forth in the comprehensive fee schedule set forth in Section 12.02 of this code to the Village Collector. The permit shall terminate 6 months from the date of issuance and shall be non-assignable.
   (E)   No permit shall be issued for the installation of a burglar and/or fire alarm system in any residence or building unless the residence or building meets the requirements of the Building Code of the Village.
   (F)   The corporate authorities of the Village, upon giving a reasonable notice and hearing thereon, shall have the power to revoke or suspend any permit for good and sufficient cause, which shall include, but not be limited to, the following: conviction of a felony or any offense involving moral turpitude; violation of any provision of this Chapter; making a false application or statement therein; unprofessional conduct; any conduct of the licensee or employee of the licensee, which is deemed adverse to the public health, safety or welfare.
